A FieldPulse alternative you can try before you talk to sales

FieldPulse is a capable field service platform for HVAC, plumbing and electrical teams. FieldStacker publishes its prices, gives you a 14-day trial and adds techs free.

Pro $30/mo, or $25/mo billed yearly · 14-day free trial · no contract

The short answer: FieldPulse software is sold by the seat on a custom quote, and FieldPulse says plainly that it does not offer a free trial. Pick FieldStacker if you want to see the price, run your own jobs for 14 days and add your techs free, from $30/mo. Pick FieldPulse if you want its add-ons: a built-in business phone system, AI call answering, fleet tracking with dashcams, financing on estimates and QuickBooks Desktop sync.

FieldPulse covers the full service job: scheduling and dispatch, work orders, estimates and invoices, payments in the field, job costing, inventory, maintenance agreements, a customer portal and a booking portal. Its pricing page is honest about how it sells: it is "seat-based", you buy a set number of seats for your contract term, and the rate depends on what each seat needs to access. Premium add-ons include Operator AI for calls, Chat AI for your website, the Engage phone system, Fleet Tracking, Pricebook, Custom Forms and Financing, each priced separately. It syncs with QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Instead of a trial it offers a demo built around your trade, and its FAQ warns that price estimates on third-party sites are not verified by FieldPulse. If you want to judge an app by using it on a real Tuesday, that is the gap.

Questions people ask

How much does FieldPulse software cost?

FieldPulse does not publish prices. Its pricing page, checked October 26, 2026, says it is seat-based: you buy a set number of seats for your contract term, and the rate depends on what each seat can access. Add-ons are priced separately. You get a number in a sales conversation.

Does FieldPulse have a free trial?

No. Its own FAQ says it does not offer one and offers a demo built around your trade instead. FieldStacker has a 14-day free trial with no credit card, so you can start a free trial today.

Is the FieldPulse app good for techs in the field?

FieldPulse has a mobile app for techs to work jobs, fill out forms and take card or ACH payments on site. FieldStacker's tech side runs on your phone too: today's jobs in driving order, checklists with photos, parts used, and a one-tap "On my way" text with a live tracking link (texting add-on). See technician software.

Which is better for HVAC, FieldPulse or FieldStacker?

For a mid-size HVAC shop that wants a phone system, AI answering and fleet tracking, FieldPulse has more of those add-ons. For an owner with a few techs who wants maintenance agreements on autopay, QuickBooks Online sync and a website at a published price, FieldStacker costs less to start. Our HVAC software page has the details.

Does FieldStacker sync with QuickBooks like FieldPulse?

FieldStacker syncs with QuickBooks Online: sent invoices and payments go over automatically, and a payment recorded in QuickBooks marks the invoice paid. Expenses, job parts and mileage can sync too. It does not support QuickBooks Desktop, which FieldPulse does. More on QuickBooks field service software.

Can I add people as my team grows?

Yes. Team is $60/mo for you plus 2 seats, Team Pro is $250/mo for 16 people, and extra seats are $20/mo each. Techs you add as technicians stay free, so you only pay seats for people who sell or run the office.
