In short: FieldStacker is software for alarm dealers, built by one. Build the package quote with the monthly monitoring, and your own contract fills itself in and gets e-signed on the spot. Lay out the cameras on the satellite map and turn the design into an estimate. Bill the monthly monitoring by autopay and see what your accounts are worth. Then book the install, send it to a free tech account, and keep track of the stock on every truck. Rep commission, funding, holdback and takeovers are in there too. It does not monitor alarms (keep your monitoring center), and it isn't tied to any dealer program.

The four things a dealer runs on

In the order you need them: close it, design it, bill it, install it.

1 · Quotes and contracts

Close it at the table, on your own paper

No retyping the deal into a contract and no waiting on a signature. The quote you just built is the contract.

  1. Build the packagePick the monitoring plan and its monthly price, add the equipment, and the customer watches the out-of-pocket change as you go.
  2. Your agreement writes itselfUpload the contract you already use, once, as a PDF or Word file. Every contract after that pulls the customer, price, monthly, term and panel straight from the quote.
  3. The service boxes tick themselvesBurglary, Fire, CO, Medical and Video are checked from what was sold: a smoke detector on the quote ticks Fire, a camera ticks Video.
  4. Signed on whatever is handyHand over your tablet, or send a link, QR code, text or email so they sign on their own phone or computer. Door-to-door templates carry the cancellation notice.
  5. Filed without you touching itThe signed copy goes to the customer and to you by email, lands on the customer's record, and shows up on a Documents page you can search by name, address, phone or contract words.

No per-envelope fees. Signing is built into FieldStacker, and every signed copy carries the customer's e-sign consent and a certificate of who signed, when and on what device, not an outside service you pay per contract.

2 · Camera designer

Sell the cameras on the same visit

Pull up the customer's property on the satellite map and place each camera where it will really go. The customer sees what every camera covers, you see what it takes to wire, record and back it up, and the whole design drops into an estimate. It is on for every alarm dealer account.

🎯

What the customer gets to see

  • More than 100 cameras in the catalog
  • Each one's real field of view, and zoom you can slide
  • How far it can make out a face, a person or a plate
  • How far it sees at night
🧰

What the install takes

  • Cable runs to the recorder, with footage
  • PoE power counted against each switch
  • Recorder channels used
  • Days of recording turned into a number of drives
📡

No surprises on install day

  • Wireless point-to-point links to a garage or gate, with a check for things in the way
  • Anything not connected shows up red
  • Wire that is already there can be reused and isn't charged
🔋

Power cuts, planned for

  • Battery backups with the minutes of runtime at each location
  • An outage view of which cameras keep recording
🧾

Straight to the estimate

  • A proposal map and equipment list with no model numbers, so it can't be shopped
  • Push the design to an estimate in one step

3 · Monitoring billing: the monthly, collected

The sale pays once. The monitoring pays every month, as long as it actually gets collected and the customer stays.

💳

Collect it without chasing

  • A billing-only monitoring account for each customer
  • Autopay from the card on file on the billing day, or an invoice with a pay link
  • A declined card is tried again on day 3 and day 7, or right away when the customer saves a new card
  • Older contracts start on their next billing day, never billed backwards
  • Move your accounts in from another system's CSV or Excel export
📈

Know what your accounts are worth

  • An estimated value range for the book from your RMR and your own attrition
  • Accounts a buyer would mark down are counted lower: 60+ days past due, landline, month to month, no signal in 90 days
  • The account schedule as a CSV, one row per account, ready for a buyer

An estimate to plan with, not an appraisal.

🔁

Lists that grow the RMR

  • Still on a landline: offer a cellular upgrade
  • No cameras on file: offer video
  • Contracts ending in the next 6 months: renew them
  • Start a quote from the row, or text or email them from your own phone

Plainly: FieldStacker does not connect to central stations and does not receive alarm signals or dispatch. Your monitoring center keeps doing that. FieldStacker stores the CS number and the account details, and does the billing. The monitoring tools are on for the owner of an alarm company; reps on your team don't see your accounts. 4 · Installs, techs and inventory

Sold tonight, installed by the right tech

Your installers join as technicians at no charge on every plan. The equipment on the signed quote follows the job all the way to the invoice.

  • Book the install from the quote; a tech can't be booked outside their hours or into a clash. Or send it out and the closest available tech takes it on their phone
  • The tech sees the parts the job needs next to what is on their truck
  • Stock comes off when the install is finished; low stock is flagged and a purchase order can be scanned into stock
  • A tech manager sees every tech's stock, tech by tech
  • The visit sheet: check in on arrival, finish, and record what happened
  • Service calls: note the equipment you put on, and it comes off your stock
  • Invoices with card payments, synced to QuickBooks (paid in QuickBooks shows as paid here)

How techs use it →

A technician's inventory on a phone in FieldStacker: items and units on hand, stock value, low-stock count, a button to scan a purchase order into stock and the list of on-hand equipment

Also in the box for dealers

The dealer side of the money, and customers switching from another company.

💵

Dealer money

  • The rep's commission on the quote, worked out from your multiple and hidden from the customer
  • Holdback as a percent, or a flat Office fee (fixed) per sale
  • Funding batches with the multiple, holdback, and chargeback window, and an alert when a funded account cancels inside it
  • Accounts you sold stop billing and can't be billed again by mistake

Takeovers

Switching a customer from another alarm company? Each takeover sits on a board by the step it is stuck on, from the first call through the communicator release and test signals to the first monitoring bill, 11 steps with a due day for each. Saving a fact, like the new CS number, ticks the step it proves.

Side note: selling door to door?

If your reps knock doors, the tools are there too

A knock map with your own pin statuses and new-homeowner leads, territories and a live team map (Team and Team Pro), a leaderboard, plus the records a door-to-door office gets asked for: rep licenses and permits with expiry alerts, a do-not-knock list on the map, and a 3-day cancel tracker. It keeps records; it is not legal advice.

Alarm dealer questions

Can I use my own alarm contract, not a generic one?

Yes. Upload your monitoring agreement (a PDF or a Word document), check the blanks it found, and save it. From then on each contract fills itself in from the quote: customer, price, monthly, term and panel, and the service boxes (Burglary, Fire, CO, Medical, Video) are ticked from the equipment that was sold. The customer signs on your tablet or on their own phone or computer, gets a signed copy by email, and the copy is filed on their record and on a Documents page you can search. Signing is built in, so there are no per-envelope fees.

How does the camera designer work?

Open the customer's property on the satellite map and drop cameras from a catalog of more than 100 models. Each camera shows its real field of view, its zoom range, how far out it can pick out a face, a person or a license plate, and its night range. Draw the cable runs to the recorder or link a building with a wireless point-to-point pair. The designer counts PoE, recorder channels and the drives needed for the days of recording you want, marks anything not connected in red, and pushes the design to an estimate with a proposal map and an equipment list that shows no model numbers.

Does the camera designer plan battery backup?

Yes. Put a battery backup (UPS) at a location and plug the recorder, switch and radios into it. You see the minutes of runtime for that location, and an outage view shows which cameras stay up and which go dark when the power is cut. The backup shows on the customer's proposal too.

Can FieldStacker bill my monitoring accounts?

Yes, if you own the alarm company. Each customer gets a billing-only monitoring account that sends the monthly invoice, or charges the saved card, when the billing day comes round. A declined card is tried again on day 3 and day 7, and you are told if the last try fails. You can bring accounts in from another system's CSV or Excel export, and an older contract starts billing on its next billing day, never backwards. Reps on your team do not see your monitoring accounts.

Does it connect to my central station?

No. FieldStacker is not central-station software: it does not take in alarm signals, it does not dispatch, and it has no link to a central station or an interactive services platform. Your monitoring center keeps doing the monitoring. FieldStacker keeps the customer, the contract, the CS number and the monthly billing, and you can tell us which station you use so we can look at connecting to it later.

How do techs and inventory work?

Add your installers as technicians, free on every plan. Book the install from the sold quote with the tech and time you pick, and FieldStacker will not put a tech outside their hours or into a clash. On the job the tech sees the parts it needs next to what is on their truck, and the stock comes off when the install is finished. Low stock is flagged, a purchase order can be scanned into stock, and a tech manager sees every tech's stock. A return visit can be closed as a service call with the equipment put on, which comes off the tech's stock too.

How much does it cost for a dealer?

Pro is $30/mo for one dealer. Team is $60/mo for 3 people and Team Pro is $250/mo for 16 people, with seats you set as rep, tech or both. Technicians are free. There is no seat minimum, no setup fee and no contract, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no credit card.

Can I keep my CRM?

Yes. API and webhooks come with every paid plan. New leads, bookings, approvals and payments can go out to the CRM or tools you already use, and your customers, estimates and invoices can be pulled into your own systems.

Looking at it from the owner's chair? Alarm company software covers running the whole company: the door-to-door team, compliance records and the homeowner check.
