A Markate CRM alternative with booking and the portal included

Markate packs a lot of field-service tools into one low base price, then charges for add-ons. FieldStacker includes online booking, the customer portal and your techs from $30 a month.

Pro $30/mo, or $25/mo billed yearly · 14-day free trial · no contract

The short answer: Markate CRM is a full field-service app with one plan: $49.95 a month, or $45.95 billed yearly, plus $5 a month for each employee, and $10 a month for each of several add-ons such as online booking and a branded customer portal. Pick FieldStacker if you want online booking, a customer portal, a website and your techs included from $30/mo. Pick Markate if you want customer financing, offline use in the field and SMS reminders in the base price.

Markate is more than an invoicing app. Its base plan, checked on markate.com/pricing on October 26, 2026, includes a lead and job pipeline, a drag-and-drop calendar, job costing, estimates with options and packages, e-signatures, change orders, checklists and photos, recurring invoices, card on file, tips, ACH, customer financing, a QuickBooks integration, mileage, time and location tracking, team chat, offline app use and SMS and email job reminders. Markate also moves your data for you in 1 to 3 business days, with U.S.-based support. That is a lot for $49.95.

What Markate charges for on top

Markate's capability table marks some tools as paid features. Online booking, a branded customer portal, Zapier, a business phone number, call forwarding, CompanyCam, sales proposal templates, a lead capture form, automated review requests and deals each cost $10 a month. API access is $50 a month. The Kate-AI receptionist is $1 a call, SMS drip campaigns are 10¢ a text, and postcards are $1.10 each. Each employee who uses the app is $5 a month. Markate says yearly members are billed for add-ons yearly, and it does not refund early cancellations within a billing period.

A worked example: owner plus four techs

On Markate, the base plan plus four employees is $49.95 + $20 = $69.95 a month. Add online booking, the branded portal and automated review requests and it is $99.95 a month. On FieldStacker, the same crew is $30 a month on Pro: the four techs are free, and online booking, the customer portal and the review request after a paid invoice are included. Add the $15 texting add-on for "on my way" texts and it is $45. Compare plans on our pricing page.
